We were lucky to have a family of robins nest on our front porch. Here is a series of photographs documenting the birth of the young birds and their early development up to the time they flee the nest. It was a learning experience for all involved. The kids loved learning about the life and reproductive cycle of the robins and I learned about Auto FP High Speed Sync flash mode. I have to admit I learned quite a bit about the birds too !
